What is home
healthcare?
We care
for people in their home before or
after hospitalization, during an
illness, or for clients needing
assistance with daily care. We
believe that one can often recover
better, if receiving care in the
comfort of their own home.
What about payment?
Argus Home Health is a provider
to Medicaid/Medicare and many other
payors.
We always check your home care
benefits and most payors cover
homecare at 100%.
If
your plan requires a co-pay, we will
work out a plan with you. |

What is skilled care?
Skilled Care is prescribed by a
physician and the care is provided
by a licensed professional such as a
nurse or physical therapist. Visits
are brief, task oriented and are
covered by Medicare/Medicaid and
most payors for a short period of
time, like a few weeks. This is
often ordered after a surgical
procedure, hospitalization or after
discharge from a nursing home.
Is my doctor involved?
Yes. Our Clinical team will work
with you and your doctor to get the
best possible results.
How long will someone come to
care for me?
That depends on what you, your
caregiver, physician and payor
believe is best for you.
I don't want to go to a
nursing home, can you help me
stay at home?
Yes. We have options to care for you
as long as you are safe to remain at
home. We can also help you and your
loved ones make choices that are
best for you.
What if I just need someone to
help with chores in my home?
We can arrange for homemakers to
assist with light housekeeping, meal
preparation and laundry. We also
have personal care providers to help
with more hands-on care. Please see
the Home Care section of this
booklet for more information.
What is Senior Care in the
home?
The goal of Senior Care in the home
is to allow seniors to remain
independent, in their homes as long
as possible. It is care provided by
a professional caregiver, companion,
homemaker, nursing assistant or home
health aides to assist with the
non-medical, daily care needs, to
help keep seniors independent. Our
agency is insured and all of our
staff are screened thoroughly.
